Applications are invited for the following posts :
a) Postal Assistants in Post Offices
b) Sorting Assistants in Railway Mail Offices
No. of Positions: 04
Pay Scale: Rs.5200‐20200 + Grade pay of Rs.2400 + admissible allowances.
Age limit : 18‐27 years
Eligibility Conditions:
a) Pass in 10+2 standard or 12th class pass with at least 60% marks, from recognised University / Board of School Education, Board of secondary education with English as a compulsory subject (excluding vocational/JOC streams).55% for Other Backward Classes and 45% for Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes. b) The candidates should have studied local language of the state i.e should have studied Kannada as a subject or Hindi at least in Matriculation or equivalent. c) Candidates with higher education are also considered but they have to fulfil the requirements mentioned in sub para a to b above. There are no bonus marks for higher education. d)
Candidates who have passed 12th standard/10+2 in vocational course or Job Oriented Course (JOC) are not eligible. e) Desirable qualification: Typing knowledge and Computer Knowledge. f) Sports Qualification‐ as per (6) below.
